Jenny lives in a beautiful World Heritage Site ‘The Cradle of Humankind’ 30 miles NE of Johannesburg, S Africa and the wonderful natural surroundings inspire many subjects for her paintings. She trained and worked as a Graphic Designer, but has been painting full time since 2006. Her bird paintings have exhibited and toured yearly in the prestigious Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum‘s (LYWAM) ‘Birds in Art’ exhibitions in Wasau, Wisconsin the USA, 2008-2018. And her animal paintings have hung in the Mall Galleries, London with the David Shepherd Foundation’s ‘Wild Life Artist Exhibitions’ 2009-2014 where she receiving a highly commended in 2010. Her botanical work has appeared in calendars, Garden Guides and other publications including the “Flowering Plants of Africa”, “The Botanical Artist” Journal of the ASBA and the "Newsletter" of the Botanical Artist Association of South Africa (BAASA). She was honoured to receive Gold Medals in all three Kirstenbosch Biennales which she entered (2006, 2008 and 2013) as well as a Gold in the 21st International Orchid Congress in 2014. Her work is in the public collections of South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI), Yellowoods/Spier SA, LYWAM USA, The Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation USA and Dr Shirley Sherwood’s collection UK as well as in many private collections worldwide.
